Senator says cases being lodged against ex-official’s misdeeds

LANDIKOTAL: Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi on Sunday said documents have been prepared to lodge cases of mega corruption and misdeeds against a former agency education officer of Khyber Agency.
Talking to The News during his weekly inspection visit to the state-run schools in Khyber Agency, he said the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) had convened a meeting last week to discuss the complaints made by them against former agency education officer Attiqur Rehman.
Senator Taj Mohammad Afridi claimed this official had misappropriated millions of rupees. He said that all the Fata parliamentarians had decided to pursue the case against Attiqur Rehman.
“We have met additional chief secretary Fata and filed an application against the misdeeds of the official,” he pointed out.
