Nine arrested in seminary raid

Officials of sensitive agencies raided a seminary in Khudabuksh Colony and arrested nine suspects. The officials recovered provocative literature and other goods from the seminary which was later sealed. All the nine suspects yet to be identified were dispatched to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Fire: A pick-up was burnt into ashes in an incident of fire due to short-circuit in the Old Anarkali police limits on Thursday. Rescue teams controlled the fire. Rescue officials said that a pick-up caught fire near the Revenue Office, AG office. People tried to control it, but of no use. No loss of life, or injury was reported.
Dies: A 45-year-old rickshaw driver died when his rickshaw overturned in the Garden Town police limits on Thursday. Police removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The deceased was identified as Goerge Masih, a resident of Bhabra, Naseerabad. Police said the victim was going to his house. As he was crossing the Kalma Chowk, he lost control due to speeding. As a result, the rickshaw overturned. The driver received injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
