A beautiful cultural show of Malaysian and Pakistani local artists under the umbrella of Malaysian Tourism Ministry of Sabah and Malaysian High Commission Islamabad has been hosted by Flair Pvt. Ltd. Islamabad, which is an emerging group of companies renowned in travel management and facilitation services to the embassies, says a press release on Tuesday.
The event’s other partner was Ibex Club Islamabad situated in Lake View Park where the event was held at on Monday.
The ceremony was inaugurated by High Commissioner of Malaysia Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtabar. Many other respectable diplomats from Italian, French, Sudan, Turkish, Syrian, Korean, Indonesian, Jordan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan embassies, South African High Commission, a good number of businessmen community and Socio welfare representatives were also invited.
Artists including four men and four women showed their brilliance during performance. Each dance was from different ethnic community and costumes were colorful and different. The first dance was “Sumazau”, followed by “IgalIgal”, “Daling-Daling”, “Joget”, “Mogigol Sumundai”, “Paina”, “Kuda Pasu”, “Anggalang” and “Magunatip”, with the Grand Finale titled “Malaysia truly Asia.”
It was complimented brilliantly by the participation and performance of Pakistani Culture by Chakwal Group. The “Thaaps” of “Dhoul” and “Sarangi” made everybody swing on its chair. Artists of both countries have painted this evening in a vivid rainbow of both cultures.
The most appreciated performance was “Malaysia truly Asia.” All eight dancers came on stage and danced and sang the song and it was truly joyable to see that the dancers performed with joie de vivre and pride in their culture. At the end many from audience has also joined the artists on stage and it was nice to see that everybody was enjoying the event; it was a great evening of bilateral cultural representations with a delicious food at the end.
The MD of Flair Pvt. Ltd. Shahzad Faisal Khan in opening notes has spoken about the importance of intercultural events.
