CHITRAL: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former member provincial assembly (MPA) Said Ahmad Khan on Monday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had assured provision of subsidised wheat to Chitral district.
Speaking at a press conference here, he said that the prime minister twice visited the quake victims and announced development projects and relief packages for them.
He said that supply of 30 megawatt power, construction of Chitral-Chakdara road, Chitral-Shandur road, Chitral-Bamburet road, Chitral-Garam Chashma road, Chitral-Tajikistan road, completion of Lowari Tunnel by December 2016 and remission of students’ fees under the Prime Minister Scheme were the major projects announced by the prime minister.
He said that the prime minister also assured to establish full-fledged university for the students of Chitral district.
“We are thankful to the prime minister for his visits and announcement of the development projects for the underdeveloped and mountainous district of Chitral,” he said.
