Nepal’s way

Nepal has opted for a mixed proportional electoral system under its new constitution. One hopes our parliamentary committee on electoral reforms will notice this change.
Such a system was proposed by German psephologist Dieter Nohlen in his book: ‘Electoral System: Options for Pakistan’, to enhance the legitimacy and efficiency of our democracy.
