MQM applies for withdrawing NA resignations

ISLAMABAD: Following the withdrawal of resignations from the Senate, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Thursday submitted an application for withdrawal of their resignations in the office of acting Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
With submitting the application, the MQM will attend the National Assembly session which will commence from today (Friday). The MQM MNAs had tendered resignations from the National Assembly on August 12.
The MQM’s Sajid Ahmed and Sheikh Salahuddin called on additional secretary National Assembly and filed applications of withdrawal of their resignations.The federal government had set up a five-member Grievances Redressal Committee mandated to register and resolve concerns raised by the MQM pertaining to the operation in Karachi.
