ANP councillor deseated

KARAK: The Awami National Party’s lone district councillor from Karak North union council Abdul Tawab Khattak was deseated by the Election Commission for betraying his party in the district nazim election.Party sources said on Thursday that ANP district president Sajjad Ahmad Khan and provincial joint secretary Khursheed Khattak had approached the Election Commission against Abdul Tawab who had allegedly cast vote in favour of PTI candidate Dr Umar Daraz Khattak. The commission deseated him to hold fresh election in the said union council.
