Seven suspected target killers were arrested by police in different raids on Wednesday.
Counter-terrorism department investigation wing chief Mazhar Mashwani a police team raided a house near the telephone exchange in Garden and after a shootout, arrested Gulzar Khan, Matiullah Khan Marwat and Mohammad Arif Shah.
They were found in possession of three TT pistols. It was found that the three men worked for Ehsanullah Marwat, who ran a gang of target killers in Kati Pahari, Qasba Colony.
The three men confessed to murdering an elderly man near Chandni Chowk, Baldia for which Ehsanullah paid them Rs50,000 each.
They had also murdered Anwer, a resident of Kali Pehari.
Gulzar and Arif said a few months ago, they instructed by Ehsanullah on the phone to meet Matiullah. They left for Qasba Morr where they found two youngsters inthe Matiullah’s captivity. On Matiullah’s instructions, they took the youngsters there and killed them.
In 2011, they had murdered a couple in Pakhtunabad, Manghopir on Ehsanullah’s directives.
Four held
The counter-terrorism department operation wing arrested four suspected target killers.
The four men, Shoaib Hassan, Makhdoom Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Shahid Khan alias Preedy and Mohammad Pervez were rounded up in separate raid and found in possession of four Kalashnikovs and two 30-bore pistols.
They arrested men confessed to murdering Ali Hassan in Korangi No 4 in 2013. the same year, had attacked police vans in Zaman Town and Korangi No 6.
