BSEK announces ninth class results
Karachi The Board of Secondary Education Karachi on Tuesday announced results of the science and general groups of Class-IX (secondary school certificate Part-I) annual examinations-2015. According to the gazette issued, 141,300 candidates were registered and 138, 742 students appeared whereas 2,558 candidates were absent. The pass percentage was 97.49 percent.

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi on Tuesday announced results of the science and general groups of Class-IX (secondary school certificate Part-I) annual examinations-2015.
According to the gazette issued, 141,300 candidates were registered and 138, 742 students appeared whereas 2,558 candidates were absent.
The pass percentage was 97.49 percent. As many as 93,871 students cleared all five papers, 22,914 candidates managed to pass four papers, 10,754 students were declared pass in three papers, 5,201 candidates were passed in two papers and 2,537 students cleared only one paper, a BESK official said.
In general group (Regular), 16, 623 candidates were registered of which 16, 239 students appeared while 384 remain absent.
The pass percentage was 98.27 percent. As many as 8,516 students cleared all five papers, 3,541 candidates were declared pass in four papers, 2,125 students managed to clear three papers, 1,059 candidates passed two papers and 717 students cleared just one paper. In general group (Private), 7,492 candidates were registered of which 6,682 students appeared and 810 candidates did not show up. The pass percentage was 95.02 percent. As many as 3,130 students cleared all five papers, 1,351 candidates passed four papers, 875 students managed to clear three papers, 530 candidates were declared pass in two papers and 463 students cleared only one paper.
Chairman BSEK Anwar Ahmed Zai mentioned that as compared to the last year’s results, which was announced late in November, the board had issued this result on November 3.
The steering committee on education had been asked to issue the SSC Part-I annual result after 60 days of the announcement of matriculation annual result and, he added.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi on Monday announced results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Part-1 (first year) annual examination-2015 of humanities (Regular and Private), especial candidates and home economics groups.
Announcing the results, Controller of Examinations BIEK Muhammad Imran Khan Chishti said that as many as 9,943 candidates appeared in humanities group (Regular) of which 3,053 students passed all six papers. The pass percentage was 30.71 percent. As many as 6,157 candidates appeared in humanities group (Private) of which 1,572 students cleared all six papers and the pass percentage was 25.68 percent, he further said.
He added that 96 candidates appeared in humanities (especial candidates) of which 92 students passed all six papers while the pass percentage was 95.83 percent. According to him, 281 candidates appeared in home economics group of which 129 students passed all seven papers and the pass percentage was 45.91 percent. He said the remaining results of commerce (Regular and Private), science pre-medical and science pre-engineering HSC Part-1 Annual Examination-2015 would be announced sooner.
