Minor dies after drinking acid

LAHORE
A six-year-old girl died after drinking acid in her house in Defence on Sunday. It was reported that Reeda had taken acid, as a result her condition went critical. She was rushed to a local hospital where she died. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy.
Yet in another incident, Mohammad Hassan was killed by a speeding car in Sadar Cantt. The car driver escaped from the scene. Police handed over the body to the family after completing legal formalities.
arrested: Police arrested 236 accused of 94 gangs here in Lahore during the month of September 2015.Besides, 1,353 proclaimed offenders and 1,023 court absconders were also arrested during the said period; 440 cases were registered against 440 accused on having illicit weapons, 557 cases were registered against drug pushers and 566 persons were arrested in this regard. Moreover, 107 cases were registered against gamblers and 646 persons were arrested. During the same period, 506 cases were registered against 512 culprits on various violations of law.
Meanwhile, SSP Investigations Rana Ayaz Saleem has said that under the National Action Plan, 97 members of 42 dangerous criminal gangs involved in dacoity, robbery, theft, murder and cases of other heinous nature were arrested during the month of September. He said that out of these 97 accused, 55 were hardcore criminals. They confessed to committing more than 268 crimes of heinous nature.
PHP: Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) arrested 36 criminals along with five proclaimed offenders. PHP arrested proclaimed offenders of PS Karrianwala and PS Kala Bag namely Nadeem, Ehsan, Aamir, Imran and Waseem Khan and arrested a court absconder Awais Mehmood of PS Sadar Gujrat. PHP arrested Aamir, Fiaz, Saifullah and Allah Ditta who were standing near petrol pump to commit a robbery.
