Constable booked for abetting gamblers

Rawalpindi : For facilitating and supporting criminal and gamblers, police constable Qamar Abbas arrested in Rata Amral Police station.

During the interrogation, a detainee gambler disclosed that police constable Qamar Abbas used to take money from them to facilitate in gambling in the limits of Rata Amral Police station. SP (Rawal Division) Rai Mazhar Iqbal taking notice on the information held an investigation against the constable and arrested him for supporting criminal elements.

CPO (Rawalpindi) Muhammad Ahsan Younis has issued categorical instructions that strict action would be taken against police officials involved in criminal activities. DIG Muhammad Ahsan Younis also announced that strict disciplinary action would also be taken against constable Qamar Abbas for involvement in gambling in the area.
