Disinfecting tunnel system installed at PINS

LAHORE :Punjab Institute of Neurosciences Executive Director Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood has said that our priority is to protect doctors, nurses and other medical staff, patients and their attendants.

It is important that everyone who enters in this institution can be sterilized and fully protected for which first Disinfecting Tunnel system has been installed at the main entrance of Punjab Institute of Neurosciences.

Addressing the inaugural function of Disinfecting Tunnel at Punjab Institute of Neurosciences, Executive Director, Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that this is the first protection facility in the government hospitals of the provincial capital where the system is installed with no government money was spent on the disinfecting tunnel while with the help of charity from the philanthropists from civil society. Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood said that now doctors, nurses, patients and their families can keep themselves germs-free by getting through this door to get relief from Coronavirus, especially in the current circumstances.

He said that serving the humanity is a valuable and real asset of society and their reward is given not only in this world but also in life hereinafter. Prof Khalid Mahmood said that people dealing with the coronavirus epidemic are providing the best treatment facilities to the citizens regardless of their lives, protection in all respects which is very important and all resources are being utilised in this regard. He said that very positive results of lockdown have been found in Punjab and Insha Allah Pakistan will be able to cure this outbreak very soon.

Railways Engine Sheds open: On Monday, Railways Engine Sheds have been opened in Lahore and Faisalabad by Pakistan Railways. According to Amir Nisar Chaudhry, Divisional Superintendents Lahore, the engine sheds had been closed because of cases of coronavirus. Now, these sheds have been re-opened. He said workers have been working in three shifts in workshops in Faisalabad and Lahore. He shared the strengths of workers. Around 150 workers are working in shift-A, 100 workers in shift-B and 50 workers have been working in shift- C. On daily basis, 10 engines are being provided for freight trains, said DS railways Lahore.

The workers are taking precautionary measures. He said that chlorine spray sprinkled at Raiwind railways station offices and residential colonies of railways to contain coronavirus. Two cops transferred: Inspector General Police, Punjab, Shoaib Dastgir on Monday notified the transfers and postings of two police officers.

AIG Complaints, CPO Punjab Lahore, Faisal Shahzad has been transferred and posted as SSP Operations Lahore while SSP Operations Lahore Muhammad Naveed has been transferred and posted as AIG Complaints, CPO Punjab Lahore.

Safety gears distributed: Investigation wing distributed masks, gloves, and other protective gear at all police stations, CIA and AVLS. DSP investigation headquarters distributed the equipment among Moharars. The investigation officers have been asked to continue their work by adopting precautionary measures.

Six arrested: CIA Sadar Division claimed to have arrested six members of a thieves gang and recovered booty and cash. The arrested accused persons have been identified as Imran, Rafiq, Amin, Anwaar and Abdul Aziz. SP CIA appreciated the police team.
