Easter celebrated with simplicity

Rawalpindi: Like all parts in the country, the Christian community here in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad celebrated Easter festival with simplicity on Sunday.

The Christian community fully cooperated with concerned administration and prayed at homes. Due to coronavirus pandemic, Christians were requested to celebrate Holy Week with simplicity.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Captain (r) Anwar-ul-Haq told ‘The News’ that section 144 is imposed in the city. “We had contacted the Christian community leaders asking them to celebrate Easter celebrations to celebrate with simplicity. “We are thankful to whole Christian Community for this cooperation,” he added.
