Islamabad : To provide opportunity to Pakistani youth to make the best use of their time during the coronavirus pandemic, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has arranged free online courses offered by leading international institutes.

As per the government policy, all educational institutes, including technical and training institutes, are closed till May 31 due to coronavirus outbreak.

On the occasion, Chairman of the NAVTTC Syed Javed Hasan said in the current difficult times, the commission was working hard to turn the limitations into opportunities and is using digital tools to support continued skill development of our youth.

“A wide range of learning courses are made available online which would enable our youth to gain marketable skills while sitting in the comfort of their homes,” he said.

Executive Director of NAVTTC Dr. Nasir Khan said the Commission in collaboration with leading online training providers is arranging training courses in the latest technologies to Pakistani youth in a bid to enable them to use this time productively.

“The NAVTTC is striving to equip Pakistani youth with latest technological skills and enable them to productively contribute in the socio-economic progress of the country. With the availability of these diverse online courses, latest technological skills will become available to Pakistani youth at their doorstep,” said Dr Khan.

The NAVTTC is currently implementing the largest ever skill development programme in the history of the country i.e. Hunarmand Pakistan under the Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan initiative.
