265 food hampers given to needy people
MIANWALI: On the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Social welfare department in collaboration with Bait ul Maal has continued the sequence of delivering food hampers at homes of needy and deserving people in Mianwali.
Social Welfare Deputy Director Khizar Hayat Khan delivered 265 food packets at homes of lockdown-hit people. Baitul Maal district chairman Ghulam Sarwar Darvesh also delivered basic household items to 160 deserving families in Bala Sharif.
In collaboration with Social Welfare 100 sanitizers and 100 hygienic mask kits were also distributed among the needy people. Under the coronavirus awareness door to door program” Stay at Homes, Stay Safe” drive was also launched through information camp, SMS and phone calls to people.
Deputy Director Khizar Hayat told reporters that according to the directives of the government
food bags were being provided to the affected families in cooperationwith NGOs and philanthropists.
