SUKKUR: The National Disability and Development Forum (NDDF) in collaboration with the Hashoo Foundation distributed emergency food packages among 100 persons with disability in Nawabshah. The representative of Hashoo Foundation said the lockdown due to the pandemic badly hurt the people, who earned their living on daily basis, adding that it was the time to support all the needy persons but the persons with disability were in a miserable situation. He said the Hashoo Foundation believed no one should be left behind, and the people with disabilities should also be given priority during the emergency response against the COVID-19.

The foundation and NDDF have jointly launched the distribution drive of emergency food packages for persons with disabilities in Nawabshah and during the first phase as many as 100 families were provided ration bags. The CEO NDDF Abid Lashari said the people with disabilities had suffered a lot during the ongoing scenario and demanded the government to introduce special package for the persons with disability in the emergency response programme.
