Wana: The district administration of South Waziristan has set up eight quarantine centres for the coronavirus patients.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Commissioner Hameedullah Khan Khattak said that there were 11 coronavirus patients were in South Waziristan of them nine had tested negative while the results of two people were awaited. He said that efforts had been put in place to ensure lockdown in line with the directives of the government. He said that security had also been tighten along with Pak-Afghan border at the Angoor Ada border crossing. The official said that the district administration was also taking steps to provide relief to the daily wagers and labourers, who have been affected by the lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Hameedullah said the doctors and the health staff had been provided all the personnel protective equipment and other necessary medial tools to prevent Covid-19 from spreading and to treat the patients.
