Capital Police creating awareness among citizens about COVID-19
ISLAMABAD: All officials of operational police including superintendents of police (SPs) are active in their respective areas to create awareness among citizens regarding coronavirus and ensure implementation on the directions issued by the government.
Following directions from IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed, all SPs are performing their special duties in their respective areas. During the last 24 hours, the police officials distributed gloves, surgical masks and ration in their areas and briefed people about the proper use of sanitizers and face masks. They directed corona emergency response teams to stay alert and ensure assistance to people in case of any untoward situation.
DIG (Operations) Waqaruddin said that citizens are also appreciating the role of policemen in this critical time, while all SPs and SDPOs are ensuring full assistance to teams of district administration in their respective areas. He said that each personnel of the force is committed to serve humanity in this critical moment and their morale is high in accomplishing tasks assigned to them. He appealed to the citizens to stay home and avoid social interaction and unnecessary movement to defeat the virus.
The DIG (Operations) said that precautionary measures are the only solution against coronavirus and citizens should take care of health of their families. He appealed the citizens to stay at home for safety to own and other lives and avoid unnecessary movement. He said that milk, vegetables, chicken shops would remain open and people would have to wear masks in premises of shops.
He said the customers should keep distance of six feet while purchasing the necessary items. He said shops would be sealed if owners failed to ensure implementation on directions.
