‘Daily-wage earners be given rations immediately’
The coronavirus situation in the city is worsening day by day, but the federal and the provincial governments' performance is not good, said JI Karachi Hafiz Naim Ur Rehman on Monday.
Addressing a press conference at Idara Noor-e-Haq, he said that a lot of announcements were being made, but poor people, including daily-wage earners, were still waiting for rations.
He expressed his party's willingness to cooperate with the Sindh government, but government should play its role to deal with the situation. He demanded from the prime minister to exempt the people from two months' electricity bills due to the crisis and the lockdown all over the country .
The daily-wage earners were dying of hunger and the government should take steps on a war footing to provide them with rations, the JI leader said.
