WANA: As many as 3,324 displaced families of South Waziristan tribal region have been sent back to hometowns under the supervision of the Pakistan Army.
The 12th phase of repatriation started from August 31.
Talking to reporters, Political Agent Zafarul Islam Khattak said that basic amenities were being provided to the families at the camp arranged by the Pakistan Army and political administration in Khargi village of Frontier Region Tank.
To a question, he said schools and hospital would be made operational. He said that drinking water issue would be resolved on priority basis. He said that tents would be provided to the owners of fully damaged houses.
Similarly, the Fata Disaster Management Authority has finalised arrangements for repatriation of the 7,000 TDPs to Khyber Agency.
