Folk music contest

LAHORE: Fifteen singers were selected for the final round of Lahore Art Council’s singing competition titled “Alhamra Folk Music Competition,” being held today (Wednesday) at Alhamra Arts Centre, The Mall.
They were selected after auditions given by the contestants from all over Pakistan. Lahore Art Council (LAC) Executive Director Athar Ali Khan welcomed the singers from all over the country to participate in the "Alhamra Folk Music Competition."
Alhamra’s platform is providing young people with immense opportunities in different fields, including singing, painting, theatre and literature, he said.
