LAHORE:Partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the City on Sunday while Met Office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours. Met officials said that a westerly wave was expected to approach Balochistan and was likely to extend to the central and upper parts of the country during the next 24 hours. They predicted that widespread rain (with snowfall over hills) was expected in North Balochistan, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, at scattered places in south Punjab, south Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while at isolated places in other central districts of Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Rainfall was recorded in Gujrat, DG Khan and Kalam while snowfall was recorded at Astore, Kalam and Skardu. Sunday’s lowest temperature was recorded at Skardu where the mercury dropped to -13°C while in Lahore it was 5.6°C and highest was 21°C.
