Woman, 2 others held for son’s murder

MANSEHRA: The police arrested a woman who allegedly killed her son with the help of her father and brother in Barian Shungli village of Oghi tehsil on Tuesday, officials said.

They said the accused Gul Bano, her father Zahid Khan and brother Abdul Qadir were arrested after Gul Raheem, the husband of the woman, booked them in the murder case of his son, Usman, 12. According to first information report lodged with the police under section 302/34 of Ppc, the accused woman had taken Usman with her parents’ home following filling a marriage dissolution case with her husband in a local court some six months ago. “My in-laws, including my wife, her father and brother hanged my son to death as they had threatened me to do so in the past,” Raheem told police. The police after lodging FIR arrested the accused who would be produced before the local court for obtaining physical remand. In anther incident, a boy was killed after he flle from the rooftop of his under-construction home here.
