Two drown as car falls into sea
Two men drowned on Sunday when their vehicle went into the sea while one of them was teaching driving to the other on a ground near the shore.
According to police, the mishap took place near Creek Club in Defence Housing Authority Phase VIII within the limits of the Sahil police station. Responding to the information, rescuers from different welfare organisations reached the scene and retrieved both the bodies that were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities where the deceased were identified as 20-year-old Daniyal, son of Azizur Rehman, and 55-year-old Mukhtar, son of Chaudhry Allah Ditta.
The car was also recovered with the help of heavy machinery. Police said Mukhtar was teaching Daniyal how to drive on the empty plot when the car went out of control of the driver and went into the sea, drowning both the men.
Mukhtar was the father of four children who lived in Punjab Colony, whereas, Daniyal was a resident of Akhtar Colony, police said, adding that they both used to live in the same neighbourhood in the past and had family relations with each other.
