Rawalpindi: The government should announce tax relief package immediately to remove the business community's concerns so that traders could know the benefits of this package and its withholding tax on banking transactions, said Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Asad Mashadi.
Her urged the government to announce tax relief package according to given proposals. After the implementation of the package, the traders who have business transactions within the limit of Rs500 million would be ready to reveal their real income due to low tax rate.
He said that the RCCI appreciates the FBR’s new step that minimises the chances to conceal original transactions because now the businessman's CNIC number is used as tax number. “We can’t defend those business people who do business in millions and do not have national tax number,” he added.
