LAHORE:Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur alleged that PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah misled the National Assembly (NA) in connection with the Model Town killing case, asserting that the FIR for killing 14 civilians was registered on court orders.

In a rejoinder to former Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah’s claims in National Assembly, the PAT leader said Rana Sana as well as the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the then Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were nominated accused in the Model Town massacre FIR registered with the Faisal Town police and that FIR hasn’t yet been quashed by any competent authority.

Gandapur alleged that the Shahbaz government that continued ruling Punjab for four years after the tragedy had not allow any neutral inquiry into the incident despite a 72-day sit-in staged in Islamabad for the purpose. He questioned if Rana Sana and his leaders were innocent in the case, why they disallowed an impartial investigation into it.
