Providing women with education helps break the cycle of poverty. Educated women are less likely to marry early, or against their will. They are less likely to die in childbirth, more likely to have healthy babies and more likely to send their children to school.
Since nearly half of our population consists of women, depriving this large segment of our society of education is a travesty of justice. The authorities concerned should promote female literacy for a healthy society.
