‘Country facing isolation due to govt’s wrong policies’
CHARSADDA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) provincial head Senator Maulana Ataur Rahman on Thursday said the country was facing isolation due to the wrong policies of the Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to save his colleagues through amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance,” he told a gathering here. Awami National Party’s former district president and candidate for provincial assembly Muhammad Ahmed Khan announced to join the JUI-F on the occasion. Maulana Ataur Rahman said that Imran Khan wanted to close Bus Rapid Transport and Billion Tsunami cases through changes to the NAB ordinance.
He said country’s credibility was at stake owing to the wrong policies of the government. “This government has failed on all fronts,” he said, adding, Imran Khan was running the government through ordinances as he had no courage to face the opposition in the parliament.
The JUI-F leader said the people had been suffering due to price hike and increase in the gas and power tariffs. He added that his party would continue to struggle to oust the incompetent and corrupt government.
Muhammad Ahmed Khan in his speech said a grand meeting of JUI-F would be held in Charsadda which would be addressed by party head Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
