Seminary student molested
A teacher allegedly molested a minor student at a seminary in Thakra Mara Parhana area of the district, police said on Friday.
Ali Gohar reported to the police that he had enrolled his nephew, 10, at the seminary in Thakra Mara Parhana some three months ago. He said a teacher of the seminary, Qari Shamsuddin, allegedly molested his nephew on Thursday night and he was informed after the condition of the student deteriorated. “I was already present at the Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad for the treatment of my ailing daughter and asked Qari Shamsuddin to take my nephew there so I could get him treated there,” Gohar said. He said that the victim after regaining senses told him that Qari Shamsuddin assaulted him forcibly and when he fell unconscious, he dropped him at the hospital. The Pulrah police after registering the case under Section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code started raids to arrest the accused who was still at large.
