Three of a family die of suffocation

ABBOTTABAD: Three members of a family died due to suffocation in Khanqa Rajoiya village in Havelian tehsil on Sunday morning, the police said.

Jehangir Khan, an inspector of CTD Police in Torghar district, along with his wife Musarrat Shaheen and eight year-old-son Ahmed had came to his hometown on leave. He was sleeping in his room along with his wife and kids.

The family members on Sunday morning broke the door open and found all the three dead, he added. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Havelian where doctors confirmed their death due to suffocation caused by gas leakage. After autopsy, the bodies were handed over to the family for onward burial, which was held later in their native village. Moving scenes were witnessed at the time of burial.
