PCB likely to dismiss more employees
KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) top management is likely to dismiss some more officials when the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka is over, informed sources told ‘The News’ on Tuesday.
The most likely to be relieved are those who are above 60 years of age and have managed to retain their jobs because of some influential people, the sources said. They said that top management of PCB had evaluated the working capacity of its officials and knew well who was performing well and who was not.
They added that after the Test series, some employees would be transferred, demoted or even fired on the basis of the evaluation of their performance. The PCB management wants to run the board in a professional way and is gradually taking steps against those who have been found involved in malpractices or have failed to show competence.
