Universities of Lakki Marwat, Turkey ink MoU
PESHAWAR: The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed Monday between the University of Lakki Marwat and the Mugla Sitki Kocman University Turkey.
During the MoU ceremony at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Peshawar, Dr Khursheed Iqbal, Chairman Management Sciences Department, Dr Faheem, Director Information Technology and Fasihuddin represented the
University of Lakki Marwat while Prof Dr Ilhan Terimer and Prof Hussain from Turkish University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Khursheed Iqbal said that after completion of the process, the students’ exchange would be possible for a semester, joint degree programme, short-term courses, trainings, PhD and Postdoc would also be arranged for the faculty development.
He said that joint conferences, workshops and seminars were also a part of the MoU, adding, it would not only improve the quality of education in the University of Lakki Marwat but would also provide
international exposure to the students and faculty members of the University which would be utilised for the betterment of the society and development.
Prof Dr Ilhan Terimer said that Mugla University was one of the top public sector Universities in Turkey enrolled with 40,000 students.
