LAHORE: In the PCB-Pepsi National U16 three-day tournament at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, M Farooq’s unbeaten 64 helped Khyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Sindh by eight wickets. Resuming their innings from the overnight score of 18 for one in chase of 105 runs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa overhauled the target in 36.1 overs for the loss of two wickets. Northern U-16 and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U-16 will play the three-day final at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad from December 8 to 10.
Scores in brief: Sindh U-16s 163 all out in 67.1 overs (Syed Taha Shah 36; M Irfan 6-32) and 120 all out in 42.2 overs (Saad Baig 61; M Umar 5-27) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 179 all out in 57.3 overs (Abbas Ali 66; Aaliyan Mehmood 7-68) and 106-2 in 36.1 overs (M Farooq 64*). Result: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa win by eight wickets.
