Nine district & sessions judges reshuffled

LAHORE:A notification regarding reshuffling of District and Sessions Court judges has been issued following the approval of Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan.

As per the notification, programmes Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) Director Jazeela Aslam has been posted as Sessions Judge Kasur while anti-drug court Rawalpindi Judge Mohammad Akram has been transferred to Khushab. District and Sessions Judge of Rajanpur Muhammad Yar Wallana has been posted in Chakwal and DG Khan anti-corruption court’s judge Abdul Rahman has been posted at Lodhran. Meanwhile, labour court no 10 Sahiwal’s Judge Bakht Fakhar Behzad has been transferred to Rajanpur. Chakwal Sessions Judge Shahzeb Saeed has been appointed as Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) Director Administration while Judge Shahida Saeed of court no 6 has been given the designation of PJA Director Academies.

Lodhran Sessions Judge Munir Ahmad and Kasur Sessions Judge Muhammad Musarwar Zaman have also been directed to report the LHC.

All sessions judges have been issued orders to take charge of the new posts by December 10. Meanwhile, the LHC has handed over the services of two sessions judges to the federal government for appointment.

OSD Judge Waseem Akhtar has been given charge of Faisalabad banking court while OSD Sessions Judge Safdar Saleem Shahid has been appointed as Special Judge Central One Lahore. The notification has also directed both sessions judges to take charge of the new appointments by December 10.
