20 suspects arrested
The paramilitary force has announced the arrests of 20 suspects, including dacoits, in raids in the city on Wednesday. The spokesman for the Sindh Rangers said that soldiers conducted targeted raids in Kalakot, Sharea Faisal, Saeedabad, Ittehad Town, Madina Colony, Malir, Zaman Town, Nabi Bux, Mithadar and Brigade areas, and arrested 16 men.
The suspects were identified as Shaan, Umair Khan, Farukh Khan, Amir, Inayatullah, Sajid, Gul Wali Khan, Subhan, Muhammad Yousuf, Muhammad Haroon, Abdul Waheed, Muhammad Kamran, Zubair, Nabeel, Muhammad Asim and Sajid Ali.
The men were alleged to be involved in a number of snatchings, possessing illegal weapons, stealing motorcycles, committing dacoities and other heinous crimes. Soldiers also carried out raids in Kalakot, Baghdadi and Kalri areas where they arrested four men who were identified as Sohail, Hussain, Naseer and Tanveer. The arrested men were said to be involved in operating drug dens in their areas. Weapons, looted items and narcotics were said to have beenseized from them.
