A man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his house in Gulbahar Quarters on Wednesday.
According to police, they found the hanging body of 55-year-old Ayub, son of Faqir, at his house within the limits of the Rizvia police station. Responding to the information, rescuers and police reached the property and transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
According to SHO Imtiaz Banday, he was facing serious financial crisis and did not pay the rent of the house for the last few months. The deceased was a father of three children, and a cancer patient.
