VCs of public, private varsities asked to check corruption

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Shahzad Saleem has asked the public and private universities in the province to check malpractices and ensure transparency in their system to check corruption.
An official handout said that he was speaking at a conference at NAB headquarters Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Senior NAB officers also attended the event.
He said NAB (KP) had received several complaints about public and private universities that blatant violation of rules and regulations had been committed in recruitment, procurement of different items and services, examination, scholarships, research and publication.
It merits a mention here that the National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is conducting a series of inquiries against several public and private universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
