Sacked Khassadars block road in Mohmand
GHALLANAI: The sacked Khassadars blocked the Peshawar-Bajaur road in the Mohmand tribal district on Monday. The sacked Khassadars were carrying placards inscribed with slogans seeking reinstatement. Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan People’s Party former president Jangraiz Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf president Khwaizai tehsil Razmir Khan, Lal Badshah, Rabnawaz Khan and others said that the authorities had asked them to vacate the houses and move to safer places before launching operations against the militants.They said they were compelled to become internally displaced persons (IDPs) during militancy, adding, most of the personnel of the Khassadar force were also displaced with families. The protesters said the authorities sacked 800 Khassadars and recruited own dear and near ones instead. They demanded the government to reinstate the sacked cops forthwith. The protesters said the court had directed the district police officer to settle the issue.
