Another cop dies during duty

LAHORE:Another constable died during duty in the Raiwind City police limits on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Muhammad Hanif, 59, of Pakki Haveli Raja Jang Kasur. He was on duty when his condition went critical. He was rushed to hospital where he died. The victim has been survived by a widow and 7 children including four daughters.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayer of Constable Muhammad Ashiq, who had died after falling from the rooftop of Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh on Sunday, was offered at his village Kot Arjun Singh Kasur with official protocol.

ADDITIONAL FORCE: Following the instructions of CTO, additional force was deputed outside schools and colleges on major roads during opening and closing hours.

CTO directed DSPs to improve traffic management in cooperation with school and college administrations. Traffic police has allowed parking in single lane for parents. Action will be taken on wrong parking.

CCPO: CCPO Zulfiqar Hameed has said that complainants would be provided all facilities under one window operation at police headquarters.

All complaints and applications would be registered and processed online. After assuming office of CCPO Lahore, Zulfiqar Hameed visited all sections and branches of CCPO office and extended necessary directions for better service delivery.

Outgoing SSP admin Athar Waheed and SSP (IAB) Faisal Mukhtar briefed the CCPO about functioning of various departments.

The CCPO directed that welfare branch would be upgraded. Moreover "Welfare Eye" software should not be restricted for families of Shuhda and of those who embraced death during service but all welfare cases should be handled by welfare eye.
