A delegation of members of opposition parties in Sindh met Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at the Governor House on Thursday and discussed with the current political situation of the country and other matters.
The delegation was led by Sindh Assembly Leader of the Opposition Firdous Shamim Naqvi, who belongs to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and comprised Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leaders Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Muhammad Hussain, Rashid Khilji and Faisal Subzwari, Grand Democratic Alliance President Saddaruddin Shah Rashidi, Murtaza Jatoi, Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Zulfiqar Mirza, Irfanullah Marwat, Safdar Abbasi, Aslam Abro, Liaquat Jatoi and Ali Junejo.
The meeting discussed the prevailing situation in the country, issues of federal government departments and deteriorating governance in Sindh and other issues. The opposition leaders requested the governor to play his role against the Sindh government's inappropriate behaviour towards their party workers. They apprised the governor about the acute problems being faced by the masses caused by the corruption of the Sindh government.
