SUKKUR: The Jamshoro Police have registered an FIR against 14 students for raising anti-government slogans during a protest rally on Oct 31 under legal sections covering offences against the state. However, none of the wanted students have been arrested so far.
The police post at the Sindh University, Jamshoro, registered an FIR, covering sections of offences against the state, against 14 students of the Sindh University. According to the FIR, the students took out a protest rally on Oct 31 during which they allegedly raised slogans against the government and in favour of Sindhu Desh. The students also allegedly inscribed similar slogans through wall chalking. The FIR was registered under sections 120A, 120B,123, 124, 153ppc for alleged criminal conspiracy, defiling or removing the national flag, assaulting top government functionary and provoking a riot. The FIR alleged the students also manhandled foreign students. According to the Jamshoro Police, none of the wanted students have been arrested so far.
