KASUR: Six people died while more than 40 sustained serious injuries when two buses collided near Bhallu Stop.
Reportedly, two buses were on their way to Lahore from Kasur when they collided while overtaking and racing on Ferozpur Road. As a result, Wajid, Nasir, Tahir, Abdul Aziz, Irfan and an unidentified man died on the spot while more than 40 passengers sustained injuries.
The Rescue 1122 teams shifted the injured to the DHQ and other hospitals. Sources told that majority of the passengers were the employees of the government departments.
PAKPATTAN: As many as nine people were killed while six others sustained injuries in a road accident near 17 Wali Puli. Reportedly, a wagon was carrying passengers to Multan from Pakpattan when it collided with a dumper on Pakpattan-Arifwala Road. As a result, nine passengers were killed on the spot while six other sustained injuries.
MUZAFFARGARH: Eight passengers were killed and four others sustained injuries when a van collided with a truck at Dedh Lal Chowk near Rohillanwali, reported APP. A speeding van collided with a truck coming from opposite direction and later a motorcycle while trying to avoid a collision with another vehicle on Muzaffargarh-Alipur Road. As a result, seven passengers of the van and the motorcycle rider were killed on the spot while four others sustained injuries.
The injured were shifted to a hospital along with the eight deceased. The killed persons were identified as Iqbal, Haji Allah Bakhsh, Ali Muhammad, Ghulam Yasin, Bashir Ahmad, Ismail, Allah Bachaya and Irshad. The injured were identified as Hanif, Yasir, Osama and Siddiq.
