Alleged killer of shopkeeper held in Chitral

CHITRAL: The police Saturday claimed to have arrested an alleged killer of a shopkeeper, who went missing last month, in the district.
Talking to The News, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said that Syed Karim, a shopkeeper belonging to Upper Dir district, went missing on June 15, while his vehicle was found abandoned on Bypass Road.
He said that the police initiated an enquiry into the case and the Call Data Record (CDR) of the missing person was obtained and some suspected persons were interrogated but to no avail.
The DPO said the information provided further clue to the investigation team to reach the prime accused Khan Bahadur.
The DPO said that during police interrogation, the accused, Khan Bahadur, admitted killing and throwing the body of Syed Karim into Chitral River.
