Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan has been very vocal regarding environmental compliance of the Islamabad Expressway expansion project launched recently by the CDA. He is very concerned over the launch of this project without a mandatory EIA, conducted by the Pak-EPA.
Where was the minister when environmental laws were violated with impunity during the execution of the Rawalpindi/Islamabad metro-bus project resulting in massive chopping of trees and elimination of greenbelts?
