KARACHI: Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram believes that pacer Junaid Khan should be a part of the national team even if he fails to put up a strong show in some games.
“Junaid is a bowler who can make a comeback so I think he should be kept in the national team even if he fails to perform in some matches,” said Wasim, who is spearheading a two-week Super Speed Stars Programme here at National Stadium.
He said that if a bowler like Junaid was sidelined, the confidence of the bowler might be shattered and he might not do well in future.
Junaid has joined the English county Middlesex for the 2015 Royal London One-Day Cup.
“The county stint will certainly help Junaid gain confidence and start performing well again,” Wasim added.
