Bad ice

It has been observed that most ice factories in the country are making ice from contaminated water and have no filtration plant either. If some factories have such plants then they are out of work and there is no proper maintenance to make them functional. Some factories are using even muddy and brackish water.
This is a serious issue. This practice can cause diseases like hepatitis, cholera, diarrhoea. The government should take strict action against such factories and ensure that they use clean water for ice. Installation of water filtration plants and proper piping can ensure clean water supply to these factories. The owners of these factories should also be educated about diseases caused by using polluted water.
