The price we pay

Poultry prices sky-rocketed even before Ramazan started despite the fact that during the summers chicken costs less usually. Ishaq Dar had announced in his post-budget press conference that the prices of kitchen items had not been increased at all. Now who is going to inform him of the prevailing market conditions – because he never bothers to listen to anybody?
We have been listening to budget speeches for the last 68 years and no budget has ever been poor-friendly although this device is basically meant to cope with foreseeable adverse situations. In case of our country we have a political class that is running huge businesses – including poultry/dairy. Why would they care for ordinary people?
