The Punjab government Friday approved 10 development schemes of various development sectors at an estimated cost of Rs 5759.188 million.
These schemes were approved in the 49th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of ongoing fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi while officials concerned of various provincial departments and other senior representatives also attended the meeting.
According to a spokesman for the Planning and Development Department the approved development schemes included establishment of strategic planning / Reform Unit in Irrigation Department. (Revised PC-II) at a cost of Rs. 116.100 million, Construction of Parking plaza at old Mayor House Faisalabad at a cost of Rs. 1362.520 million, Widening / Improvement & Construction of road from Pakistan Chowk to Gulyana length=20.60 km, Gujrat at a cost of Rs. 263.096 million, Construction of Road Bridge Between District Mianwali and District Attock (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 2294.909 million, Construction of Multistoried Office Block on Existing Health Department Building in Punjab Civil Secretariat, Lahore at a cost of Rs. 319.788 million, Construction of Judicial Complex at Lahore, (Phase-II) (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 793.391 million, Construction of Judicial Complex at Pattoki, District Kasur at a cost of Rs. 310.656 million, Construction of Judicial Complex at Kamoke, District Gujranwala at a cost of Rs. 285.278 million, Establishment of Nuclear Medicine Center at Jinnah Hospital, Lahore (PC-II) (under PPP-Mode) at a cost of Rs. 6.870 million and Proposed Diagnostic Centers at THQ and DHQ Hospitals linked with Teaching Hospitals (PC-II) (under PPP-Mode) at a cost of Rs. 6.580 million.
