DC forms teams to address complaints of customers

Rawalpindi : Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa has said that district administration is vigilant and committed to ensure strict compliance of fixed prices of essential commodities of life in all ‘Sasta Ramazan Bazaars’ and open market. He said 52 price magistrates had been kept vigil eye on enforcement of Price Control Act in Rawalpindi District and violations are being penalised under the law on daily basis.

Addressing public complaints and issues being highlighted at print, electronic and social media, Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi constituted complaint redressing teams to take up all related matters with concerned quarters and directed to evolve an effective plan of action to resolve the complaints of consumers as soon as possible.

Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that he himself and Assistant Commissioners paying regular visits of Vegetable and Fruit Mundi, Islamabad as well as Ramazan Bazaars to supervise the auction of vegetables, fruit and other essential daily use items which are available in sufficient quantity. He said that Assistant Commissioners of all tehsils are active in their respective sub divisions and they had been ensuring for provision of essential items on subsidised rates. Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi said that performance of all staff deputed to comply with provincial government instructions were being reviewed and there is no shortage of any essential commodity in Ramazan Bazaar or in open market.
