CHARSADDA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq Saturday said the silence of the rulers of Muslim states on the atrocities being committed against the Muslims in Myanmar was disappointing.
Talking to reporters after attending the funeral prayers for the mother of JI former district chief Pir Masood Jan here, he said that the governments of Muslims states have just issued routine statements on the issue.
He condemned the cruelties being committed against the Rohingya Muslims and their genocide. Criticising the leaders of Muslims countries, Siraj said that the entire Ummah was being victimised across the world due to the apathy of the rulers of Muslims states.
The JI chief said that mostly unsuitable candidates were elected in the recently held local government elections, which he termed as matter of concern.
